Psalms 32:8 [I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.]
God is interested in leading you. It is now your place to yield yourself for leading.
In Acts 8:26-40, Philip yielded to God’s leading to bring God’s word to the Ethiopian eunuch, this led to the eunuch’s salvation and the further explosion of the gospel.
Ezekiel 22:30 [So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.] In this verse of scripture, God declared a vacancy and there was none to fill it.
The missionaries brought schools, hospitals alongside churches in Africa. They were not selfish people, they gave selflessly with no holding back. The scripture 2 Corinthians 5:15 15 emphasizes that we must not live for ourselves only.
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
For us to work and live according to the will and pattern of God, the power of selfishness must be broken.
God is seeking men and women of influence, people that would change the world’s pattern into God’s pattern. There is so much attack on Christendom, on Jesus and His Word; God seeks men and women, even children that are willing, ready, equipped to be influencers for His kingdom.
Anywhere you are, God expects you to take deliberate action in influencing people – to draw them away from hell.
The following are specific areas you can be an influence:
- Creating fellowships (community, age group, gender etc.), home cell groups etc.
- Becoming active in local development associations – landlords, estate committees and executives, elective offices etc
- Good neighbourliness
- Prints and media – tracts, newsletters, magazine, writing books, social media etc.
Where has God positioned you? Who are you influencing now?
The men and women cited in Hebrews 11 were people of influence, they made their mark.
