When you come to service with God, God will service you. In God’s presence, you are serviced. You are healed. You are delivered. God touches you. Trust God that when you leave God’s presence, you will have been service. As the mechanic will change the plugs in the car, God will change the defective organs in your body. Every part of your body is important – & that is why God must touch you.

Prayer Points:

  • The spirit of error will not prevail in my life this year in Jesus name.
  • Whoever goes about with the spirit of error will not locate me this year in Jesus name.
  • You are not laboring this year for other men to reap your harvest. You are laboring to profit. You will fall into error. You will not enter into error in Jesus name.

Mark 9:14: [When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him. What are you arguing with them about?” he asked. A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “How long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”]

You need to grow up, because there is an expectation from you. If you don’t grow up you can bring shame to yourself or the one that paid the shame for you.

Believe God. Sometimes you don’t get because you don’t believe. Nobody can do this for you. Whoever God brings to this house to minister to you, believe them – drop your unbelief. You must ensure you grow on a daily basis. You must equip yourself because the Master has need for you in the marketplace. For the manifestation of the sons of God is not in the church but rather, in the marketplace. This year, learn to equip yourself and grow in grace and in the spirit. It’s dangerous to be childish in this time.

Anything can happen anywhere and you will need to showcase what has been deposited inside of you.

One of the ways you can learn is to ask questions. From questions you will learn what you have not learnt. Learn to ask questions – just as the disciples asked Jesus a question, Why was it difficult for us to cast out the demon?

There are situations in our lives that require a word, or the holding of hands with a brethren, having a vigil, but there are certain situations in our lives that can only go out by prayer and fasting.

In some scriptures fasting has been removed from that scripture. The word of God has to be our standard. Not man. The church is where it is because of the influence of society. That is why miracles are a thing of the past, grace is being abused, and holiness is being disdained. The bible says without holiness no man can see God – yet the church runs away from it. The word is still the standard.

Don’t underplay this. There are situations in our lives that require a higher realm. Prayer and fasting. The emphasis is that you must understand that there are some situations that differ all knowledge – and you require prayer combined with fasting to come out.

What is fasting? Is fasting biblical? If anybody asks you to do something in the name of God ask yourself, Is it biblical? How is it done? What are the benefits?

Fasting is a situation or a time where you deny yourself of food or drink.

In the bible, when fasting is done, the people deny themselves of food and drink. They cover themselves with ashes.

Fasting is abstinence from one thing or the other like food, drinks, and your idols in order to focus on God. Fasting is bible based discipline for all believers.

Esther 4:16: [“Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”]

When you need deliverance, you can fast and pray. You don’t need anybody to pray for you – you can conduct your deliverance for yourself. If there are issues, pick out set days and pray for deliverance.

Acts 13:2 [While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”] There are times you need to make drastic decisions. You can fast and pray.

Acts 14:23 [Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust.]

Ezra 8:21-23 [here, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions. I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, “The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him.” So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.] When you need clarity, you are confused – take time to fast and pray

Not fasting is being lazy. The only reason that can be excused is health issues on been on medications. Jesus fasted because He was Holy, He didn’t fast to be Holy. Some situations can ONLY be changed by fasting. When you fast, you are able to control your body and flesh. You are in control of your flesh and with that you can grow spiritually.

Enjoy your fasting. It is not in vain.
